Not an easy job but worth doing and thank goodness for having a garage.
Steps:
- Remove seat from mounts (requires e20 for front and e16 for rear)
- Disconnect seat controls connector (under seat ... no tools)
- Remove side electrical control panel (requires a t15j
- Pull existing leather cushion cover
- If heated seat - cut original heater out of old seat
- Velcro seat heater in place on seat cushion
- Set new seat cover in place
- - attach starting in rear, then corners, then work side - front - and inside plastic clip
- Slice side of new leather cover to expose side electronics
- Reinstall side electronics and attach to seat (t15)
- Reinstall seat on runners (e20 & e16) and reconnect electronics connector
